Aedas R&D

The Advanced Modelling Group (AMG) works with project teams to bring advanced form-finding and manipulation techniques to the design process. Through parametric modelling, much of our work integrates consultant information into interactive design models and manages complex geometry according to construction and fabrication tolerances.

Although predominantly project-driven, AMG also collaborates with educational institutions such as the Architectural Association and University College London, as well as industry partners, fostering innovation across disciplines.

We use software platforms such as Generative Components, Digital Project, Rhinoceros/Grasshopper, 3D Studio Max and Combustion but stretch their capabilities via VBA and C# scripting.
