The London Olympics 2012 is the subject of a controversy case study at the Manchester School of Architecture, as part of the EU MACOSPOL project (Mapping controversies in science and technology for politics). The project has been led by Dr. Albena Yaneva’s group with research by Liam Heaphy. They are seeking to show how contemporary digital design techniques can be harnessed to visualize controversy studies.
Aedas Computational Design and Research group were employed to create a dynamic visualization of the data collected by the Manchester group. You can launch the visualization here and read more about the project on the Manchester School of Architecture website, or on the MACOSPOL website.
